I’m Jiwan and I am class of 2025 at Horace Mann School located in The Bronx, New York. I am heavily involved in many different women empowerment clubs at my school, and noticed that the issue around period poverty was a common topic. I am also passionate about journalism and understanding the current world around me. Therefore, I knew that starting My2Cents would be perfect for me to reach out to those struggling with period poverty in my community.

I’m Claire Lee and I’m a part of the class of 2025 at the Academy of the Holy Angels located in Demarest, New Jersey. Through research, I realized how impactful yet overlooked period poverty is, even I didn’t really know what it was until recently. So, in order to help raise awareness I joined MyTwoCents. I believe that this is a non-profit worth acknowledging as our mission is one that can help save lives everywhere.

Hi everyone! My name is Sophia Nam, and I’m a junior at the Bergen County Academies. I joined the non-profit Mytwocents after learning about the negative impact disposable menstrual goods have on our environment and making menstrual goods more accessible to everyone, especially in communities of need. Mytwocents will become a platform to raise awareness of the accessibility and sustainability of menstrual goods and support women in need!

Hello everyone, my name is Aiden Hyun, and I am a junior in Aerospace Engineering at Bergen County Technical High School in Teterboro. I joined in on starting MyTwoCents after researching how much period poverty is unacknowledged yet still affecting so many lives. I hope that by joining MyTwoCents, we can help start to make a change in those who are suffering from period poverty.

Hey everyone, my name is Edward Son and I am a Senior in the Academies @ Englewood. I joined in on starting this non-profit after doing some research on how much the knowledge and acknowledgement of the menstrual cycle affects the everyday lives of people in the US. MyTwoCents will do their our best to provide aid and raise awareness to the often disregarded period poverty and strive to put an end to the vicious cycle.

Hi my name is Jake Burke, and I am a junior in Aerospace Engineering at Bergen County Technical High School in Teterboro. I found interest in MyTwoCents after hearing about period poverty and how it affects the lives of many. I researched more about the effects locally and hoped that through joining MyTwoCents and our efforts, we could make a change.

Hello, I'm Anthony Kim, a sophomore at the Biomedicine Academy in the Academies @ Englewood. After some research, I realized the significant yet often overlooked issue of period poverty – something I wasn't really aware of until recently. To contribute to raising awareness about this issue, I decided to join MyTwoCents. Through donating resources to shelters, we're working to make our community better. Whether it's promoting reusable pads or giving disposable products to women in need, we're doing our part to make a positive impact!

Hi! I'm Erin Kim and I am currently a sophomore at the Academies at Englewood. I was able to join this program through my upperclassman who was previously a part of MyTwoCents, and I am very glad that I was given the opportunity to become engaged in this program that prioritizes period poverty. Through this organization, I believe the general mission of acknowledging and raising awareness for poverty and other environmental issues will be our top priority in order for us to provide as much assistance around the world possible.

I’m Yuna Lee, and I am in the class of 2027 at Ridgewood Highschool. I joined My2Cents in order to spread awareness on menstrual health issues and to experience the benefits of helping the community. By joining My2Cents I hope to contribute towards improving everyday lives on period poverty.

Hi, I'm Yoojin Jeon and I am a freshman at Paramus High School. I joined MyTwoCents because I learned that there is period poverty and not many people acknowledging it. So, I want to help raise awareness and others in need that are struggling or need help accessing something important. I will do my best to help and raise awareness for any situation people are in.

I’m Alexis Chun and I am a sophomore at Glen Rock High School. After researching what MyTwoCents is about, I wanted to be a part of helping women and period poverty because it is a big issue. Joining this non-profit organization, I wish to help people around the community by providing essentials and necessities for those who struggle to obtain goods.

I’m Hajin Kim, and I’m a freshman at Northern Highlands Regional Highschool in Allendale. I joined MyTwoCents to acknowledge and spread more awareness on issues of period poverty. With joining I hope to make a change and help those that are struggling with this cause.

Hello! My name is Danny Paik and I am a current Freshman at the Bergen County Academies. After firsthand witnessing of individuals struggling from destitution and poverty, I have decided to be a part of My2Cents in order to personally help those who are underprivileged. Through the many activities the organization engages in, I hope that we will be able to initialize a positive change for society and those who are in period poverty.
